THE WATER TORTURE BITCH

               INT. DARK ROOM -- EVENING
               DRIP... DRIP...
               HEAVY BREATHING, tortured, desperate.  DELIA, 24, drop dead 
               gorgeous, steps out of the shadows.  TWO HUGE BODYGUARDS 
               follow.
               DRIP...
               Off Camera, a HEAVY METAL DOOR SLAMS shut.
               DRIP...
               Delia walks into the center of light and stops looking at 
               something OFF CAMERA.  She looks satisfied.
                                     DELIA
                         You know... I was thinking that maybe 
                         this whole thing has been a huge 
                         mistake.  It's like something you'd 
                         always see in a bad movie.  You know, 
                         the bad guy ties the hero up and 
                         sets some enormously stupid death 
                         trap and then leaves him!  Of course, 
                         it was all done for effect, you know, 
                         mainly for the cliff hanger: will 
                         our hero escape?  Will he stop the 
                         evil plans of Doctor Idiot and his 
                         fiendish gang?  And the answer was 
                         always "yes".  I always said how 
                         stupid that was... Like, if that was 
                         me, I'd just shoot Captain Stupid 
                         and just make sure he can never come 
                         back.  Yet, now... here I am, doing 
                         the same thing to you.
               She motions to someone OFF CAMERA.
                                     DELIA (CONT'D)
                         The major difference Frankie, is 
                         that you aren't a hero.  And I'm not 
                         a villain.  Just really pissed off 
                         at you.  But one thing is certain.
                              (pause)
                         You are going... to... die...
               Delia reaches over and RIPS a strip of DUCT TAPE from 
               Frankie's mouth.  Frankie screams.
               FRANKIE, 28, skinny, desperate, going mad.

                                     FRANKIE
                         Make it stop!  Make it stop!  God 
                         please!  Make it stop...
               Frankie is strapped to a table, with leather straps.  A strap 
               goes across his forehead to keep his head in place.  There 
               is a puddle of water around his head.
               DRIP...
               Frankie screams as the DROP of WATER hits his forehead.  
               Delia looks impressed.
                                     DELIA
                         Funny.  I never thought this thing 
                         would actually work...
                                     DR. HERZOG
                         He is seeink ze vater comink.  Zat 
                         is think that drives him craazy.  
                         Yesno?
               DRIP... Frankie screams. 
                                     FRANKIE
                         I'll tell you anything, please I'll 
                         tell you!  Please, no more, no more...
               Frankie goes on like this for a bit.  Dr. Herzog and Delia 
               ignore him.
                                     DELIA
                         You're enjoying this aren't you?
                                     FRANKIE
                         No!
               DRIP... Frankie screams.
                                     DR. HERZOG
                         Vell... I must admit a certain amount 
                         of satisfaction, but zat comes from 
                         feelink of job well done...
                                     DELIA
                         You're a nutcase.
                                     DR. HERZOG
                         A vell-paid von, so I am not mindink 
                         so much.
                                     FRANKIE
                         What do you want me to say?  What is 
                         it that you want from me?
                                     DELIA
                         Now we get to it.

               Delia nods and Dr Herzog makes an adjustment.  Delia leans 
               in close to Frankie.
                                     DELIA (CONT'D)
                         Hello Frankie.  How are you holding 
                         up?
                                     FRANKIE
                         What do you want me to say?
                                     DELIA
                         Tell me...
                                     FRANKIE
                         Yes?
                                     DELIA
                         Tell me that you love me...
               Frankie starts to cry.
                                     FRANKIE
                         I can't do that...
                                     DELIA
                         I thought you'd had enough.
               She leans back and Dr. Herzog works....
               DRIP... Frankie screams.
                                     DELIA (CONT'D)
                         The funny thing about the water 
                         torture is that fact that its not 
                         even Chinese.  The British got to 
                         using it sometime back in the eighteen 
                         hundreds and they often used words 
                         like Chinese to describe things weird 
                         or strange to them.  You know how 
                         the British are.  So quick to make 
                         labels, and the Chinese water torture 
                         is just another label...  
                              (pause)
                         I've seen it used in a bunch of old 
                         movies and I've always wondered... 
                         can it really send someone mad?  Is 
                         it really as bad as it seems?
               DRIP... Frankie screams.
                                     DELIA (CONT'D)
                         Sounds like it.
                              (to Dr Herzog)
                         Stop it Doctor.
               Delia leans in close.

                                     DELIA (CONT'D)
                         Tell me you love me.
                                     FRANKIE
                         I love you!  I love you!
                                     DELIA
                         More than... her?
                                     FRANKIE
                         Yes!  Yes!  More than her.  She means 
                         nothing to me.
                                     DELIA
                         How sweet.  And you love me and only 
                         me.
                                     FRANKIE
                         Only you...
               Delia sighs.  Lights another cigarette.
                                     DELIA
                         I wish I could believe you.  But we 
                         both know it's just the water talking.
               She gets up abruptly.  Frankie starts to freak out.
                                     FRANKIE
                         No wait!  I can love you!  I can, I 
                         swear.
               Delia ignores him.
                                     DELIA
                         Herr Doctor.
                                     DR. HERZOG
                         Yes Delia.
                                     DELIA
                         More water.  And this time, don't 
                         stop.  
                              (off Frankie)
                         I have no more use for...  this.
               Frankie is really freaking out now.
                                     DR. HERZOG
                         Yes madam.
               DRIP... Frankie screams.  Dr Herzog slaps another strip of 
               DUCT TAPE across Frankie's mouth.
               Delia and her Goons turn to exit.

                                     DELIA
                         Come on boys.  I feel like a swim.
               Delia and the Goons disappear into the shadows. 
               DRIP...
               DRIP...
               DRIP...
               A GRINNING Dr. Herzog leans into Frankie's view.
                                     DR. HERZOG
                         Looks like we're going to be here a 
                         while... Drink?
               FADE OUT
