Hey guys, this is a live video I shot of Spencer (aka Blackdeth), our Key Grip on Necrophobia, and his band--The Necrophobia Band (yes named for the movie!) He played opening night at a weekend-long music festival/fundraiser for breast cancer held at Acadia Sports Bar.. a fundraiser which HE himself created!!
If you're familiar with breast cancer fundraisers, people all over the world setup various events such as "Run for the Cure", "Bike for the Cure", etc. Spencer, who has a mother-in-law battling the disease herself, attends cancer walks all the time, and he finally decided that he could do more if he put some work into it. He came up with Jam 4 the Cure and organized the whole thing. Jam 4 the Cure featured nearly 20 bands, and raised over five thousand dollars for breast cancer! Wow. Way to go Spencer! See kids, ya gotta think outside of the box.
BTW, the logo banner was designed and painted by none-other-than Mike Oliver, our art director on Necrophobia, and the bassist is Bobby Fikes of Revolution.
