Great news on the movie. I've just completed the first phase of the rough cut. What the hell does that mean, you ask? Well it means that one can actually sit down and watch the movie from start to finish. Sure there are holes here and there where effects have not been completed and such, and yes it runs a little long because I generally cut a little loose on the first run-through, BUT basically it's all there. Very exciting.
What's the next step you ask? The answer is, there are actually several.
* I have now begun running through the movie once more to tighten it up, fill holes, and just generally work on the flow.
* In the next few days, Leo Wheeler and I will sit down and view the movie from start to finish (which I have never done myself, so I'm as excited as anyone else!)
* We have some top-notch sound libraries on order, so when those come in, I'll be able to start the sound editing.
* Actors will be coming into the edit suite one by one for ADR, which is basically the process of replacing dialogue that did not come out clear or could not be recorded at all during the shooting phase. This often happens when shooting outdoors or when using noisy equipment on the set.
* On the practical effects side, Mike Oliver will soon be prepping for some last-minute creature pickup shots.
* And of course on the CG effects (or what we like to call impractical effects), Mike has completed the animation work on one major creature, and has now begun the animation phase on our star CG creature. Just today, he was able to setup a pre-vis version of the creature that I will actually be able to take and manipulate myself so that I can create my own pre-vis shots. These shots, which will feature a simplified version of the creature, will act as a guideline for Mike as he animates the real shots. This will help us breeze through the animation process of the creature without a bunch of back and forth, "nope, try again" scenarios.
* Once the film is totally locked, color grading will begin. This means I will basically sweep through the entire film, scene by scene, and alter the color and contrast to insure a rich, moody look.
A lot of people have been asking "Hey when can we see it?! When does it come out??" Well, I can only tell you this: it will not be screened before Winter. But thanks for being patient, and please keep up the support! After all, we're doing all this work for you guys, and we sure want it to be the best film it can be before we sign off on it!
Thanks!

I know I promised exclusive photos from the movie on this board, so here's a super mysterious shot of one of Necrophobia's central creatures. All I can tell you is he's called "The Shadow's Hand".
Yes.. the plot thickens...

Good catch. He is referred to as "the journeyman" and the "worldwalker" as well in the film.
